Orbit Training Center introduce globally Revit® 2025 alongside the myriads of new and improved features over the ninth consecutive year. As usual, the blogging will be done on orbit training. As it has become standard, this time also there are lots of great new features to tell about. Did your prioritized messages make it to this version? How Architecture Through REVIT version and architectural field in an article are going to be discussed.
And to do this we would like you to know that not all the things mentioned here were actually added to Revit 2024 via mid-cycle updates. The history of this article is devoid of information that was unmuted it when Revit 2024 was introduced.
Let’s start with my top three favorite features in Revit 2025: Topsolid expansions, Sheet Collections, family-wise split elements, and shields in families.
Even though I worked on several Revit 2024 projects and experienced the limitations of "version one" of TopoSolids, I gladly use the latest version 2025, now I know the difference! Although some lines have been drawn, many jobs need additional attention and putting a hand in a new situation gives birth to a certain constraint. However, the general level of Toposolid development is moving well along to become a comprehensive new element that will basically work the same way as the old ones.
Here is a brief summary or maybe enumeration of the major improvements as shown in the image and list below.

This feature, a more advanced one, creates the sense of smoothness of the surface both on screen (speaking of the fact it processes the textures in a constant way and uses the realistic style of appearance) and in exports. On the other parts, though, the surface patterns are not presented with smooth shading (the color is different in areas observed).
In 2024 an elevator shaft would have cut through a Topsolid to complete his travel. It is by 2025 that the shaft will stop at the bottom of the feather position. Yet, at the top that is not the ceiling which extends upward to infinity with no relation with the top position of the shaft which is relative to the topsoil
Edges can be turned into ways of holding biography faces, for example one apple with its parents.apple with its parents.
Floors, Skinned Roofs, Toposolids, and Building Pads may be applied to hack the Topsolid apart/out. For instance, the subsoil ground allows for the removal of earth, so it is cheaper to cause the building pad which was before almost impossible to install an addition to the concrete/mortar slab. Please keep in mind that only Building Pads being generated from files that were AEC-processed using Revit previous to version 2024 will show up in the browser. The Building Pad command was removed in Revit version 2024.
Another factor bolstered by the examples is that lines of the modifying sub-elements fight back the occurrence of erasmus. Volume of digging for each house is also mentioned for any property. But to conclude the list of the new commands, one of the most important commands is Face command added to the Massing/Site tab in the Topsolid.

This new feature also has such a thrilling backstory, too, everyone knows that Revit is a great application for a huge industry with a lot of range for where building codes are located and how projects are managed. Autodesk is also not spared of criticism related to not enhancing the design in some areas. For example, addition of better stairs and guardrails, would elevate the creativity of the user and still conform to regulations.
Even though we can witness the changes and progress we need to realize that ourselves too we are the engines of change and the drivers of reform. Autodesk has a Feedback Community where users are always encouraged to keep testing the new features in the latest version of the software and provide feedback. In the 2025 testing cycle, the development team was working on fulfilling a user request of the same-sheets number feature (bending the rule currently, users have been forced to use special hidden characters to create this feature). The problem was later addressed by the office of the Revit expert, Aaron Maller. He suggested implementing the solution he had seen working in a different application as well as the idea he had submitted at the inside the Factory event for the active members of the feedback community to take a part in (community members of the feedback group are invited to be part of this event). Moses brought forward the Sheets Collection as an option to deal with cases when the numbers match. It can live with up to a single model of a project in Revit. And we all learned from this incident, that was rather to one side a little, and it sparked a discussion that was later advanced into a new feature that we all benefit from.

Let’s come to the new feature …. Saving Sheet Collections allows placing groups of sheets that are viewed separately to a different location to the ones considered directly in the model as stated in the message dialog box shown below (in the lower right). Hence the normal automatic Revit’s reference system cannot be affected, since the views can still be placed on a single sheet only. Numbers coincide, but faces and manner remain distinct.
Sheet Collections
can be linked to any report view, table or any grouping structure (Group by). Only Sheet Collection can be created by selecting the Sheets folder on the browser's Project node by right-clicking pressing. There is no command to use it from the Project tab in the Ribbon.

Let’s see what Revit best practices will include: small array values for 3D families. Before now, we could not have an abstract representation of a numeric value of 1 or 0 but interesting the bitwise operation in the computer representation. If the semiconductor firm or manufacturer in question favors deploying a “living room” strategy that ensures content continues playing when not linked to the updated version, this would be one of those cases in which some of the content would be upgraded in order to get the latest version supporting the new functionality.
Arrays that have a zero option will generally have more geometry which therefore will always lead to the continued visibility or accessibility of the places where instances are positioned within the model. For example, say the table above needs to be removed from the room and then (0) is entered just for the number of chairs. On the contrary, the family is the only requirement to participate in this fight since taste is a given for everyone.

Platform
Ok, let's freshen up your list, I'll start with the big part. There you have several new features. The fact that they are not discipline specific is a generous gesture.
Align and Distribute Annotations
Get the recent updates on the selected text with the Tag Align tools. Also know about aligning the text either left, center or right with the help of the Multiple Align tool. Spotted on the note below, the note is not left-aligned; on the contrary, the tags of the cabinets around the cabinets are not allocated in a straight line. Below is the second period. It showcases the classroom organized and spaced after literary sorts have been assigned!

The Materials Listing now supports a multi-select mode; this includes options such as delete, load and unload. Furthermore, the Quick option of Render option has also been optimized to load faster when it has been clicked in Figure 8. The "Material" one is for the project as a whole, unlike the "Option Render Settings".

Filters are created that order properties in ascending or descending order, in addition to default order. The grouping of items allows proper classification as exhibited in the following. Reflect upon the possibility that this may add extra points of confusion at least for cases where the content has been meticulously crafted in a way in which the parameters are displayed in a specific order, although the default sorting arrangement is also available.

The seek bar in the Project Browser has been strengthened and increased visibility to have access to it anytime from the container. As already TOI say, you just search, then results are shown and easily highlighted for context.

A lot of Revit tools may save the data within the RVT documents, which may sometimes produce conflicts. Also, stringent controls during data migration to the newer database version altogether with open, linking, and loading processes are among the data quality assurance processes Autodesk has implemented to maintain database integrity. The warning pop-up will display vendor information(s) associated with the erased data.

If you are surprised to know that this value (I guess I fixed it) is corrected by Revit too. I know a Revit expert, who was corrected by Revit. The internal spaces that in the example below are in the form of the column enclosure have now made the square footage calculation for those rooms correct. For instance, when you plan to buy baseboards, their lengths must be accurately calculated.

The limitation that is faced here is that in some of the parameters we are forced to focus by discipline and deal with the newer ones in Revit. Such as, Audio Visual can be deleted when the Structural is the feature based on the filtering.

The Home screen now contains the My Details section showing your data consumption and development skills suggestion on My Insights tab — you might have already spotted My Insights with the subject line from Autodesk. As Your marks the graph shows in figure 14, analysis of the energy is my favorite activity now.

A new Revit Home toolbar has been created in the lower left. Observe, here you have a lot more projects, so it is packed smaller. The introduction of autocomplete makes it even easier to find something and the autodesk works with cloud facilities with the Autodesk project tab.

This modifier now supports export to PDF format including the feature of background task for manipulating the PDF files of many sheets at once, enabling the designer to save and annotate his works in parallel.

The feature of the architecture has variegated now with the increase in intensity.Here are the highlights.
Wall End Wrap Controls
For a wall, when you enabled “Wrap at Ends” and “Wrap” for all the wall skin layers, these new icons now offer you wrapping controls. All previous it needed to be all or nothing and you had to in some way add more allowing for wrapping and non-wrapping, and still, it seemed that something was left out of the picture.
Previously, you would have to hunt through this wall's individual materials to apply the wrapping, but now, you can simply select the wall and click the new wrapping icons that appear. The side can in fact be wrapped without reversing the figure; the other side cannot be wrapped in the same manner. They appear only when you choose to enable this setting for the type of wall selected.

Such profiles can today be mullions with any number of loops. The migration process can be long and difficult, as migrants often face multiple challenges, such as social isolation, cultural shock, language barriers, and adjusting to a new educational system. The spiral loops are formed internally or outward to create a more complex framework. The example below gives one of each, for the external loop set in the pressure plate and cap of the curtain wall system.
With the end dimension of the mullion profile that should be the same as that of real buildings and because the method of joining the mullions is still the same, the mullions should also be sculpted in a similar way as the prototype (just like when we build new buildings). In addition, a single type of coating is applied to the whole perimeter barrier, on the contrary to the cases when you can use different materials for the channel.

As can be seen, for instance, 2 “Joining” and “Join & Lock” operations become possible when 2 walls that are touching parallel are created. This helps to model the layers of materials in a much easier way than combining them as one element (of the wall). The wall sample on the left is made of 1 single finish material(5/8”) which connects to the wall on the right, because from the beginning the computer program cuts the opening just where the door is. Below, the result still shows only one door, but now it passes through four walls. Previously that was feasible and was done manually, but what concerns me is that maybe these walls can be joined automatically. This case is also valid for the continuity of walls in the process of flow, the walls again are the only constants.
Did you know: This method could be implemented through manual means, whereby someone could join walls which do not touch and the exit (door or window) would simply out cross the gap!
The singularity of the upgraded Revit Personal Accelerator provides increased transparency and control over the local storage cache that channels automatically into Vaults, Design Collaboration Pro, and Autodesk Construction Cloud. Don’t forget that the location of the files is put into the list and, as for the feature of system storage limit setting.

As a partner in the development of the given topic, I chose to emphasize two of the features that exhibit high-performance designs in Revit.
Besides, another important point is that contributing “Revit Ideas”, which is also the case, is a nice way of getting involved and driving the Revit development product. A critical factor in the making of an energy analysis model is to highlight the operating schedule of the building, as it defines the internal load of the building. Until we have got it now on, we could adjust the operating schedule of occupancy, lighting, and equipment based on one 24-hour day. This is one of the most versatile features of Revit 2025, where we have complete authority to do so, with a range of different schedules being a reality for 365 days in the calendar if desired. It is a practical matter; let me illustrate how it could work for a school having winter and spring breaks -the Saturday-Sunday off time period can be used to embellish the idea further - it possibly could even be improved for a school having different weekend days off.
Furthermore, the user can navigate to the option directly by using a recently included command in the MEP Settings drop-down menu on the Manage tab. It had been possible to set access only from within the Previously dialog Building/Space Type Settings.

Besides Revit 2025 being able to utilize the latest version of gbXML (v7.03), the next version of the popular BIM application is expected to include support for using the newly developed Microsoft Scripting Runtime to automate multiple parts of the BIM workflow. It provides a schema for HVAC Revit systems i.e. Zone Equipment, Air Systems as well as Water Loops integrating different levels.

Sadly, the MEP and Structural features/enhancements in the new Version of Revit: 2025 are not available in the same detail as the introduction to the new elements of Velocity series by III. If desired, one can look for the official orbit training blog for more information on such fresh functions. And presented here are a few highlights.
